Lancs look fucked to be honest, home to somerset and away to you lot is a tough pair of fixtures when they realistically need to win both to give themselves a chance.

Agreed, the def need Surrey to see of Somerset this afternoon or they will be facing a really fired up Somerset

Escaped with a draw. That should be us safe. Four points adrift of Pears, 25 clear of Notts and 36 clear of Lancs. One draw would likely be enough.

Looking at the table, with admittedly a couple of games still outstanding, the Bears have the most batting and bowling points. Yet we have won once in red ball cricket and that was against a very average Kent side.

The weather has denied us in a couple of games but with such healthy bonus points it does suggest that there’s a mentality issue throughout the squad. They can’t finish teams off, time for a change at the top.

Yep, same problem in the limited overs sides as well.

Great win by Somerset to make the title race more interesting. Surprising that they've never won it considering some of the players they've had over the years.

Guarantees they’ll be ‘on it’ vs Lancs now too

Why is Archie Vaughan not playing for Yorkshire ?

I read that he was at a private school in Somerset and that provided a pathway into the Somerset academy.

Also, when you consider that Vaughan senior has had his “issues” with Yorkshire then it’s no surprise that his son plys his trade elsewhere.

Lancs no batting points puts us both 5 points closer to survival

Tyrone Mings was a pupil there at one point apparently.

This is clearly a mentality issue with the Bears, there's plenty of ability there but we crumble under the slightest bit of pressure as has bene shown in the One day and t20 already and has now slipped into the 4day team in the last couple of matches as well.

Essex have a good bowling attack but we're not going to make 150 across 2 innings here, which is pathetic.
