We’ve done our bit for a England so far…Smith only got 30 and the way we’ve played this season so far he probably won’t be needed 2nd time round :-)

The weather this spring has been abysmal. It robbed the Bears of a win at Taunton. We got over the line against Kent, just with 10 minutes to spare. Against Surrey we had terrible batting conditions having lost the toss and ended up losing (no help from the weather then). This current game will be affected by a probable washout tomorrow with the Bears in a very good position. Can we force a win on Sunday with better weather forecast?

Good morning so far for the Bears, pushed on fairly quickly to 410/8 and declared with a 181 lead.

Rushworth then got a wicket with the 2nd ball before a couple decent shots took Hampshire to 7/1 after 1.

Lots of movement in the air and from the pitch so the win is definitely on here.

Another for Rushworth and then an absolute beauty from Woakes for the 3rd.
