Not sure there’ll be anymore permanent signings but guess it’s only Azhar as overseas for Champ cricket so they might bring a 2nd one in if required…if can keep everyone fit the obv concern is lack of spin options if Baker doesn’t fire or gets another injury. Barnard will be missed.

I agree Gareth and I wondered if they might bring in another spinner.  I don't think we'll go up but I do fancy us to have a better season.  Not too long to go now.

I don’t know, there’s a lot of if’s- if keep Tongue, Pennington & Leach fit all season there is plenty of firepower to get 20 wickets, if Azhar has the hunger for runs he can be top run scorer in Div2, likewise Haynes.  Also be interesting to see if Hose is a proper red ball player, hopefully better than Pollock has been :-) - also hoping Cornall steps up to be Libby’s opening partner.

Not sure if two rounds of matches with the Kookaburra ball will make much difference next time we are playing down under. Players with a red ball central contract aren’t likely to be playing in these games. Get our players playing in their first class competitions just like we allow their players play here, yes I’m looking at you Sussex and Glamorgan!

Be interesting to see if anyone who plays test cricket for England this summer makes double figures for days played in the Championship over the summer….but the nonsense competition will have all those players.

Was he? He led them to the top of the North Group and we just didn't turn up in the quarter finals. He led an attitude change where they wanted to score 200+ rather than scrapping to 150s and it worked a lot. His individual numbers may not look brilliant but I'd say he had a big impact on the rest of the squad
