As expected, totally failed to score runs when on top and have now capitulated under the slightest pressure. Cowardly batting like we have produced isn't going to win the title.

There was some ropey batting but it was always a big ask after we let Barker and Wheal add nearly a hundred to the score when we had them on the ropes.

Defeat snatch from the jaws of victory. Terrible batting.

Yep I do wonder about the captaincy sometimes, we lack a more dynamic figure. I think in general in all forms of the game our scoring rate is notoriously slow and once getting bogged down we inevitably then lose wickets.

Another spineless and pathetic batting display by most of our batsmen Yet again the likes of Burgess Miles and Norwell  not  up to the task and the likes of Hain Rhodes and Briggs not much better .i have seen quite  a few  sorry batting perfomamces these last few weeks but this topped the lot  To lose the last four wickets for just five runs in such a weak and timid way really was painful

Mitchell retiring is not good for Pears, although he hasn’t had a great season by his standards it leaves us with Libby, Haynes & occasionally D’Oliviera as established batsmen, likes of Fell & Roderick has been consistent walking wickets.

Noticed in George Dobell’s article about Mitchell that he suggested Mo be on his way back down the M5 & Bristol Road as he only has a year left - can’t see him being with England beyond this summer & Worcs probs won’t want to carry his salary without England contributions?

Rubbish batting again. Spineless. The batting has been a problem for too many years now.

Not really when they were 89 all out in the first innings. Bears should be capable of getting four hundred with twenty wickets. Preferably at a faster than the speed of a wounded sloth in a muddy field.

Conservative batting has been fucking us for years, we always seem to have finished near the bottom for batting bonus points. British summers don't tend be that great, you have to score runs when you're on top.

There were a couple of dodgy decisions which went against us but it there was a certain inevitability about the result. I’d have Mo back and make him captain, I’ve been very impressed with him when he’s led the Pears. I wonder if he’s losing his desire to play international cricket? They’ve sure messed him around an awful lot.

I’d presume Mo will be done with England pretty much after T20 World Cup should he be selected…surely they won’t take him on another Ashes tour particularly as his batting at test level hasn’t really contributed for 3/4 years.  Just hope he gets the 5 wkts in next test to get to 200.

Always thought he would go back to you guys to finish his career though I suspect he won’t be short of franchise offers for T20’s around the world that might eat into any county commitments.

See Pollock has joined us today….hopefully that will replace Whiteley’s white ball striking….has he ever played red ball for Bears?

No he hasn't don't think red ball would play to his strengths.

I liked Ed in the Blast but he was always a 40 or nowt type of player. Obviously told to reap havoc in the power play overs. So yes hit or miss
but i will miss him. Signed a 2 year deal so i hope he does well.....apart from against us.

Another spineless and shameful batting display .Something badly wrong with the Bears If our players manage to actually play they are woeful either batting or bowling
