Just the 15 players not available for Warwickshire tomorrow, guess that gives some youngsters a chance in the Royal London Cup.

The Hundred giving itself a big huzzah.

If nothing else it’s wonderful that Sarah Taylor has been tempted back.

Jazzy, and will take a while to get used to.

I thought one of the justifications was to simplify the game? I’m possibly too old and not their target audience.

The yoof are used to complicated computer games, so I’m not sure that any simplifying was needed.

Anyhow……pretty watchable so far (I’m watching the Sky coverage). Not much of the in-stadium crowd involvement being shown, which is good.

Five ball / ten ball overs don’t make much difference.

Worst thing is the scoring graphics. Way too overpowering on screen

Just tuned in. Dreadful graphics, taking up far too much of the screen.

Tufnell and that Vaughan idiot sound slightly underawed and there doesn't seem to be much atmosphere. It may get better but it would have to be incredible to beat matches of the kind we saw yesterday.

I think the idea behind the graphics is to be a visual 'state of the game' but I'm not sure it's needed and the current version is far to much on the screen.

That utterly pointless win predictor can feck off as well

I am sceptical of it, but think it needs to be a given a chance now.  Think the premis is "the runs go up as the balls go down", hence the two bars on the side of the screen.

first innings both bars build up as they use up balls and build a target, 2nd innings they come down as the target gets eaten in to.

Despite all the hyperbole, bright colours, questionable sponsorship and "unique" coverage it still felt and looked like a game of cricket with the rules slightly tweaked and from that point of view I'm not sure how many people it will convert who don't already watch the game.

Misanthropic old curmudgeons like me are catered for by the County Game and test cricket, young excitable bucks will watch 20/20 and to a lesser degree 50 over games. Where this new audience is, I don't know.
