Sounds as though Malan struggling to get a visa, and we have Vihari lined up as his replacement.

He’s got his visa and should be available from 6th May. Vihari will play until then although they haven’t ruled out keeping both of them on, you can have two overseas players in the championship this year, they don’t want to block the development of young players like Mousley and Yates.

Bears 221 all out so a small but likely vital lead of 32

At least there is a chance of a result. Assume same points system as usual so we have three bowling and one batting point?

Weather permitting this could finish today.

I’ve grown to really rate OHD, he’s a good solid county pro who never lets us down.

Good to see Ed Barnard get his maiden ton for Pears.

Hopefully heading towards a time that he can be a number 6 batsman & very handy seamer.

A laboured first hour for Bears.
Derby settled in nicely after resuming on 71/5. They haven't lost a wkt in first hour and have moved on to:
122/5 so now lead by 90.
Critchley moved on to 61

Bears bowling hasn't been consistent enough so far, getting 1-2 decent deliveries per over but also giving them easy ones to score from. I think I'd give Briggs and Rhodes a few overs soon.
