Yep, reserve day tomorrow. Which I suppose they needed to have in the off chance that the weather in England might not be okay for cricket in October...

I thought it was interesting to read that it seems changes are on the way at Edgbaston .Farbrace is reported as not being at all happy with the jobs for the old boys setup as it is at the moment.I did not realise that all our coaches are made up by ex players Troughton,Frost,Westwood and Welch .There is talk of David Saker the ex England coach joining

I can understand why he’d think that, it’s been jobs for the boys probably since Inverarity and how long ago was that? David Saker would be good but Pop Welch has none nothing wrong and the bowling isn’t really the problem at Edgbaston, it’s the brittle batting in red ball cricket that’s the problem.

Further news to me is that if there's no play today, they'll have another go on Wednesday.

Rather than bowl outs, if they can't get this played properly by Wednesday, the games should be moved to next season as a curtain raiser for the 2021 T20

If anybody's interested, it's on. 11 over games. Surrey have just beaten Gloucester (73/7) by 6 wickets in 9.4 in the opening semi.

Notts need a touch over a run a ball vs Lancs, 29/24, but are 4 down and questions about whether Nash is fit enough to bat.

I think the signing of Danny Briggs from Sussex is a good one .Have always been impressed with him and with Jeets retiring is a position we needed to fill
