Davis for Jota

Interesting. Two upfront or Wes moving slightly wider?

The ref didn't bother with the first booking for a shirt pull by their captain and then booked 4 of our players for borderline challenges. It was always going to be a red for one of ours.
Come on Villa we can still win this ...

Davis for Jota. That's a weird one

Same type of change he made at Rotherham last season

Both teams have committed 11 fouls.. we have 5 yellows out of those. Call the FA Hotline.

Haven't had a corner yet. Didn't have one in Spurs or Everton games either.

11 free kicks either way but 5 yellow cards to 1 tells you everything you need to know about this game, especially given there isn't a single one of those fouls that you'd call nasty or cynical.

This display is so reminiscent of the Villa we all hated the season we went down. Under the cosh from the off, constant mistakes just waiting for their goal to arrive. With 10 men now to get through this will be nothing short of a miracle. The ref hasn’t helped but this has been really dire all round.

Blimey way OTT. We've been competitive in all the games so far so way different to 15/16, just lacking in the final third at times.

Did someone get a little overexcited with their cosy US chat with DS by any chance?

I don't know about season we went down, but it's a bit McLeish/Lambert today, isn't it?
