Assume this will be the Wednesday as we're at Arsenal the previous Sunday.

Funny how the Sky Six get such " easy" ties :(

I doubt Rochdale are complaining.
probably not - does the away team still get a share of the gate money ?

Decent draw. And in fairness for this competition most of the top sides rest a lot of their better players. And frankly outside of Liverpool and Man City everyone is beatable anyway. So we can absolutely win this.

We are an emerging side, let them worry about us.

The clubs get 45% each.

No peace and quiet for me until then ..... Brighton fans I know over the moon. I am... Meh. If they beat us I will never hear the end of it.

Given the 62 combinations on offer at the start of the draw, Brighton away wouldn't have been in the top 50 odd.

Away, against a smallish top division side, with no rivalry, and yet still tough to get by. The worst combination for me.

Meh. Let's hope we put a decent team out and manage a win.

If we are to survive in the Premier League we have to stop thinking of sides like Brighton being difficult fixtures.

We are the only Premier League team that is away to another. Of course it's a tough tie, suggesting otherwise is just pointless bravado. Doesn't mean we have no chance but, as ever, I wanted the easiest tie possible. And Brighton away isn't it.

Why are so many seemingly bricking it over playing Brighton? They won 6 of 19 games at home last season and they’ve not won at home yet this season. I get that it’s not ideal playing a PL club but there’s nothing to fear with Brighton.

A good barometer to keep our 2nd eleven on their toes and to prove their worthiness for the starting eleven. Better than playing another minnow. Can only help our squad to get fully tuned and in turn help our push up the league. Winnable with proper application.  :)

Yeah, a stopover for me definitely.

Before the fixture lists came out, me and my mate were hoping Brighton / Bournemouth wouldn't be in the dead of winter so we could enjoy a nice seaside stopover... that didn't work out, so this is the next best thing.  Although now my mate tells me he's on a course that week and might not be able to go.   >:(

Will they just stay down south after the arsenal match?
Shame we’re not playing city or Liverpool on the weekend after rather than Burnley. Hopefully tiredness doesn’t hit us.

What kind of allocation do we get ? Is it increased for cup games ?
