A year ago today https://twitter.com/AVFCStatto/status/1572828040463147008?t=wBuT2RAPXa10Rs_SX3elRw&s=08

Goal of the season last year.

Great header but nowhere near goal of the season

We all have our own opinions Richard. What you meant to say was that it was not your goal of the season.

Of course yes JD, it was certainly in the top 10 for last season   :)

It was a beautiful goal, brilliantly taken.  I'd agree there were technically better and more creative goals but many will pick this one because of the emotion of who scored it - a promising youngster, one of our own and of course the obvious connection.

Cam is not involved but the video in the link above is well worth watching.

It was one of mine.

And mine.  A good old-fashioned centre forwards goal.  A great cross with a sublime perfectly timed header on the run.  There won't be many better examples.

I could go back in time and see Andy Gray scoring that type of goal. Brilliant

I just hope he gets another opportunity soon once he has fully recovered from his hip issue. I don't expect to see him start games just have 20 minutes or so from the bench at the end to hopefully prove what he is capable of.

He's fit now, isn't he? Thought Gerrard said so in his presser yesterday.

Gerrard mustn't be brave enough to play him which surprises and confuses me as I know he really rates Cam. At this rate he might as well have gone back out on loan. Not to give him an opportunity at the end today was criminal.

As I said on the match thread I would love to see Archer with the changes Watkins had today.

Keinan Davis has looked sharp, mobile and has got goals in 2022. Maybe we should have kept him in the squad and sent Archer to Watford?
