Afraid I think he will go in the summer which would be a real shame. Potentially the best player to have ever worn out shirt, just hasn't got the self confidence or drive any more. I don't think Emery is a fan.

I agree up to the point about Emery, I think he is a fan but he's also a pragmatist. It's such a shame, fully fit and playing in place of Buendia in the last few games may well have seen pick up more points.

Sadly i think we’ve seen the last of him in a Villa shirt.

Na, he's got a good 10 weeks to get fit now. He'll be raring to go next season.

He's only 30, got ages left.

I still think we'd get him off the books now if we could though.

I agree and think it would simply be down to,his wages.

Agree 8m less insurance being pissed up the wall and not helping FFP.

I think it is much simpler, he is crocked.

Alemany will have to move him on again. I think he'll go back to Vasco da Gama.

Being a big name, I reckon the Saudi Arabians might show an interest in him.

A James Rodriguez esque , "released by mutual consent" most likely in summer. Three years left on his deal, his agent is the superstar these days.

Oof, I didn't know his contact was that long! Bar 8 or so games, he's been shit. If someone would take him on a free to get rid of his wages I'd let him go.

Makes me laugh when people say a player is out for the season when there's 2 games left to play.

Ivan Toney has been banned for the remainder of this season and half of next season. Nope, it's still only half a season give or take.

I hope he gets fit and offers us something next season. I still think he's a great player.

Yes, out for at least another 10-days doesn't have quite the same headline impact!
