I said the same. Up there with the nights against Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid and Tranmere back in the day.
It's a perfect storm of appreciating being back in the Prem, having a connection with the team and knowing that this could be the start of something special over the next few years.

Strangely, I think the season ticket seat resale has helped too. I went to about 2/3 games in the Championship, which meant I could never quite justify a season ticket. Now I can, and so can an extra 6,000 people. It means you get to know the people around you much more – L3, where I am, is pretty much all season ticket holders. There's a camaraderie that builds up, and you now hear chants starting all over the ground. Somebody mentioned on the Everton post-match thread that there was a point where two chants were going on at the same time on the Holte – and with Project B6 getting things going at the other end, it really is a special time to be going to games.

I'm slap in the middle, so could hear two different chants in the Holte, and something else in the North Stand.  It was amazing to hear.

ForeverEverton on twitter is well worth a read as well. Very complimentary about the atmosphere, the Villa fans in general, and the fact that we didn't just join in with the 12th minute applause – we pretty much started it.

Is the atmosphere always that good?

The atmosphere at Villa Park was unreal

Thank you to Villa fans and Jack Grealish

Love the Sweet Caroline video, brought it all back!!!

It’s been a really weird five or six months to be honest, on the back of eight or nine years of worry, frustration, embarrassment at times, it’s hard to describe how Friday night felt.  Watching the vid brings up all the emotions, relief, happiness, pride, and a great big fuck-off sense that it’s all finally over and we can move on!   :'(

it really was. I’ve only experienced noise like it twice before both away at Everton, last SGT game and Sheffield Weds 1st BFR game.  I sit lower DE next to  Holte it was so loud it hurt. Seriously considering ear protection.  Long may it continue.

Was listening to Off the Ball on newstalk in Ireland. Both presenters commented on the amazing atmosphere that came at them through the TV scree.

Hopefully we will see a sell out against West Ham and it continues.

About 3200 tickets left by the looks. Only 2 tickets available in The Holte End.

Great stuff BE, I have also just followed you.
Can’t believe I was on holiday and missed it. The atmosphere came through on TV a treat though.

Friday atmosphere again mentioned as something like ‘absolutely rocking’ by the commentator for the wet spam game on Radio 5, when a goal came through. It does seem to have been noticed.
The loud win on the telly seems to have really underlined that we are back in so many ways.

Villa love.
