Anyone who doesn't speak like the dealers isn't a brummie, but some of the local people stand with brown kaffirs what your views

They were probably 16th-century Portuguese traders.

Southgate was there tonight, Reckon he liked what he saw from our English players...?

Grealish should be in his squad anyway, for the last couple of seasons Id argue, but dont think he has been at his very best this season yet

Given Southgate doesnt have Smalling in his squad because of his limitations with the ball, I suspect Mings may suffer likewise

Mings is very capable with the ball, certainly with a long pass.

He gave possession away all night tonight anyway

Villa Park was unbelievably loud tonight. I can’t remember a feel good vibe around our club like this for a very very long time.
It was superb. Even before the match started it was rocking. When the teams came out I said to my seat neighbour I wonder if these player, both teams, realise how privileged they are to be stepping out in this cauldron.

Andre Gomes was MOTM for us. Broke up all their attacks and nicely stood off Jota for his through ball.

Also what a miserable face.  You wouldn’t think he was getting paid c£3m a year to play football.

Thought Wesley held the ball up well at tines, took his goal well and seems to have that bit of niggle all good strikers have.

Yeah that Lineker was a sly one....

His job is to defend. He did that bit superbly.

Tom Heaton only had one half blocked shot to save. Engels and Mings were brilliant tonight. Freddie and Taylor too.

Wonderful stuff. So important to get our first win on the board. It’s good that it was against a decent team too, that’ll breed confidence.

Catching the Sky YT highlights....

Tremendous goal from Wes but all made from Jota’s vision from the pass. With VAR, i’m Glad the defender led with his arm as well to ensure no doubts on Offside.

Engels on the line. Great fist bump on that save.

Their effort off the post, great reactions and control from Mings. Could easily have been an OG or a follow up rebound but perfect touch into space and then away. Macca at his finest would have been proud.

The sealing goal. That was a pass to Jack wasn’t it? AEG made a tremendous run but SJM  was playing it to Jack to take to the corner I reckon. Still would have been a win though, just added the cherry to the icing on the cake.

I think brontebilly was at a different game to the rest of us tonight. No offence but I disagree with pretty much everything you’ve said on this thread especially with regards to Mings and the player ratings.
