Jota and Engels different class.
Luiz been quiet, quickly closed down. this has resulted in Mings playing some pointless long balls.
Wesley will be great if we play football. good hold up play as well.

I genuinely think it's the centre-halves getting used to him - like a lot of Brazilians and technical players, he's actually comfortable having the ball played to him under pressure (or appears to be), it's just our centre-halves don't want to put him under that pressure.  They're not giving it to him, even when he wants it.  I think that'll come with time.

Like you, would prefer few long balls from Mings, and would like to see a few more options for him in the second half when he has time on the ball (which is happening a reasonable amount).  With Luiz, Jack and SJM in front of him, I would hope the long ball is a rarer last resort second half.

Interesting stat from the BBC website: Excluding own-goals, none of Aston Villa's first 1,079 goals in the Premier League were scored by Brazilians.
Their last two have been scored by Brazilian players (Douglas Luiz & Wesley).
Bloody strange,  since first time ever we had Brazilians playing for us

yeah, that's what I thought - but still, for the last two goals to be by Brazilians anyway ...

Iwobi, Kean and Walcott all warming up, I wonder if Silva will bring all 3 on at once to give us pace to worry about.

Very nervous watching this.

Anyone fancy going to Off Topic for an argument?

no matter what the result we don't look out of place in this league

I know that you mean, but we need a result too. No good having Albionesque moral victories.

Everton have failed to come from behind at HT to win a PL game since September 2015 at West Brom (W0 D5 L33 since)

McGinn looks a little quiet. Not really been able to get him into the game so far. Otherwise MF looks better and better as the minutes go by
