Makes you wonder where Morgan Sanson will fit in?  The more the merrier though.

Doug had an off night by his standards but MV really stepped into the breach. A real top notch 'no. 6' (in my head it should be a no. 4) display.

Agree Monty.  Did really well considering he hasn’t featured much so far.

The difference tonight to some of his performances last year was the discipline in his game. He held his position and concentrated on being the spare man in there. Newcastle not having anyone capable of playing as a 10 meant he had no direct opponent and what was really impressive is that he didn't let that alter how he played. Last season he was a bit of a headless chicken chasing after the ball and getting caught out of position regularly.

He was absolutely excellent tonight.

Didn't put a foot wrong and moved the ball around very nicely.

He played well today.

He certainly did. Twice he’s come in and performed very solidly for us. Great to see!

Did well today. Douglas will always be first choice, but it’s great that Marv can come in and do a job.

I didn't see the game today but I thought he was exceptional against Newcastle. Flawless performance

Absolutely. I thought he did a job today. Our midfield isn't physical but he will put his foot in and break things up. I like that.

His last two full appearances and two wins. Clearly down to very much else but I like Marvelous.

It’s critical that squad players can come in and do a job. It’s equally important Dean sees that squad players can do that. He’s done really well in his last two starts.

I thought he went missing in the second half.

Really mature performance from him today. Considering he was booked before half time, never really felt like he was walking a tightrope. Big step up from last season.

Given that the ref was quite trigger-happy with his cards, I was worried and thought we should have subbed Marv at halftime. That said, he did pretty well and has improved significantly since last season.
