Poor old SJM looked a bit out of sorts without his skipper mate next to him.
DFM position well covered in both Halves without new signings by Connor and BB, so not worried by that now, esp if Douglas or Ampadu ends up being first choice.
Freddie at RB looks very good with pace and crossing
Good goals all round, super jack plus good to see Lansbury and BB getting past the forwards for their finishes
Wesley wasn’t as dynamic as I was hoping in this first showing
O’Hare and particularly Jota had very good games

So in summary, another top class keeper to help Jed would be good ,  defence looks great ,DFM will be ok, I’d like another top class midfielder for Jack/SJM cover. Biggest issue is goal scorer forward competition and another winger
Bring on spurs , UTV
Thanks for the summary Daz.
Hope Wesley improves.

Strange thing with Davis is every time I see him I think he has all the attributes but can't put them all together at the same time, somewhere there's a good player in there not sure what the answer is.
No problem with Green I just think his football belongs in a lower division. Still need a defensive midfielder a pacey winger and someone to knock the ball in the net.

Pretty much agree with all of that.

Some would say it’s too early to judge players at this stage of preseason, but both Davis and Green aren’t going to cut it in the Premier League this season so need to be sent out on loan with adequate replacements coming in.

It’s pretty clear to me that Hogan needs to be sold (or at the very least sent out on loan again to reduce the wage bill). He wasn’t good enough for us in the Championship and he won’t be in the PL.

Despite scoring last night, either or both of BB and Lansbury also need to be shipped out. We’re obviously looking and need to strengthen midfield, and I’d rather O’Hare was given the opportunity to develop here. There is no room to carry passengers and they all won’t get game time, so it’d be best to sell one or both if there are any takers.

Guilbert looked good and with Elmo to come back from international duty, then Bree should also be sold or sent on loan...unfortunately I don’t think he’s good enough at this level.

We looked comfortable throughout the game at the back so it’s just a matter of finding out the best partnerships over the next few games. Minnesota offered very little threat going forward and neither Jed or Kalinic were really tested, but I’d imagine we’ll still be after Heaton or Butland over the next few weeks with Nyland or Kalinic being sold.

Sounded like a typical, ease back into things gently type of friendly.

Link to goals, please, for those of us that couldn't stay up until three in the morning?

Apparently there'll be extended highlights on the OS at 1pm.

No, suffer nine minutes of footage like we all have to.

Who didn't get a run-out that is out there?  Engels and Rush?

None of us who watched the game saw the first goal by Jack, as they were busy showing a replay of a half chance by Minnesota!!

Guilbert looks very good, likes to get forward and delivered some quality crosses.
