We’ll get him back for next to nothing next summer, and train him up to be the Tielemans replacement for the season after, when we’ll sell Youri for £30m just before his legs go.

I hope he does well for his sake, he's a good lad and he was good for us, but before Emery arrived he was talented but inconsistent and a bit of a curate's egg as a defensive midfielder not really very good at defending.

I think we did very well out of the deal despite not getting what we'd hoped for due to FFP.

Surprisingly we don't seem to have missed him.
I had concerns, but what a transformation our midfield has had this summer - stronger without Luiz & Kamara, did not think I'd see that for a long time.

Ì think with Emerys coaching he could make me look like a £50m midfielder, and I am 62yrs old.

Genuinely think he would have difficulty taking Tielemans place atm

Yeah I wish him well. He’s been a big favourite of mine since we signed him. It’s a shame he had to play out of position for most of the time he was here. He was a very capable six and was fantastic at times in that role, but watching him play further up the pitch the last season and a half was a joy.

Much as I love Doug, Tielemans' current level is very clearly higher.

Me too, and I think they could be tempted by a relatively modest offer, given the way it’s going.
