How did he do for Brazil? Did he get the full 90?

Yes. He played ok. He’s one of the more senior players out there so I imagine him getting decent playing time. He didn’t play much at all during Copa America so this is good for his fitness and sharpness.

Thanks. Will be fascinating to see how he develops.

What's the craic with the players representing their countries at the Olympics? I always thought it was U23's with a couple of older players allowed. But it seems Brazil are fielding quite a strong team. What about Germany/France etc. - are there poor bastards who played at the Euros slogging themselves through the Olympics too?

It got bumped up to under 24 age bracket limit due to the extra 12 months.

Brazil very strong but Spain are taking it to another level....got Unai Simon, Pau Torres, Pedri, Mikel Oryazabal and Dani Olmo in their team, all regulars at the euros. Could only draw 0-0 with Egypt first game so started like at the euros aswell.

Trying to emulate his mate Wesley. Just been sent off against Ivory Coast after 14 minutes.

At least he won't miss any Premier League games. Oh, hold on.....

Somebody tell David Luiz to have a word with Wes9 and Luiz6 eh!
Exactly why they would benefit from having him round the place to help.

You have to let it go Footy!  I think the masses have spoken.  It's still a 'no' to David Luiz ;-)

Yeah, David Luiz would never find himself on the receiving end of a stupid and avoidable red card.

Crikey, that's a disgraceful decision.

Cheating bugger.  He went down in instalments. Terrible decision.  Where was the head butt and neck grab?

Never a red card.

I don't get the annoyance at him competing in the Olympics either, nobody should have to forgo a chance of an Olympic gold medal.

The Olympics is a corrupt shitshow, I certainly begrudge our well paid player being utilised for their corporate rip off.

Is there VAR in these games? Surely if there was, they’d have looked at it and changed the decision.
