I expect it to be announced by the weekend. I have nothing to go on BTW, this is just a feeling I have.

How can we announce Trezeguet awaiting international clearance and visa and he’s here , but we haven’t with Luiz ?

I would imagine some clearances are just a matter of waiting for the paperwork to go through while some are infinitely more complicated and require more adjudication/lawyers etc.

That leaked photo may have forced their hand on announcing it.

The leaked photo of Trez signing the contract last night probably forced their hands.

I wonder whether the club is waiting for a physical appointment where they have to present their argument to a board of people and we just have to wait for that appointment?  Work permit turned down and we wait to see a board to put the appeal to them?

Can we just deal with this one more time?  Luiz hasn't played enough full international matches to garauntee a work permit.  Trez has. That's a full stop. so is that...

some reports from Belgium suggesting Nakamba is coming to us on loan. Maybe Option B if Doug doesn't get his WP?

One or two fringe players likely to leave, hence us bringing In Nakamba?  Luiz still getting done but taking time. Two for every position.

According to Transfermarket profiles both of similar height but Luiz is right footed and Nakamba is left footed.

This may or may not be relevant if looking to bring in both of them.

Marvin Hagler might be an alternative to McGinn though primarily, with the possibility of playing in Douglas's position as well if needed. A bit like Jota coming in as an alternative to Grealish but can also play on the wing.

And in case anyone needs further calming, Percy is also saying Luiz is on the way.
