£60m
That’s quite cheap for a goalscoring centre half !!!

That just made me think of Martin Laursen.

Is there a centre half as good as him in the Premier League right now?

No, I would say not. Hope he stays.

Needs to sign a contract or we risk having to sell cheaply in January or next summer.

Alternatively we accept both Konsa and Pau leave on frees in two years time. I think I’d be okay with that but we’d need to sign and loan youngsters now for integration later.

I feel Konsa is as likely to sign as not.

I think likely to but it’s not guaranteed if the right offer came in with only 2 years left on his contract.  I suppose we might be willing to be more generous in terms of wages so we keep some of the “spine” intact. This one’s a fine balancing act.

I hope we can find a few bob to give him the contract he wants, losing him as well would be a kick in the Jacob’s.

He's not going anywhere. Expect pictures of him reclining, well earned Pina colada in hand, by the shores of lovely Lake Kivu.

👍

He was having a pop at the away fans lot that long ago, and had to be 'held back'. Can't recall exactly which game, or why tbh. He'd jump at the chance to go to arsenal, in my opinion. With Saliba injured he'd be straight in the team as well.

If he did sign a new deal with a pay bump, pretty sure he'd want a release clause in there.

Nah, can't see him joining them.

Haven't checked where they are in the league but assume they have Champions League football to look forward to, so would be worried if they went for him.

They are looking at signing Yamal and Mbappe. That's the level they operate at.

He was probably responding to fans. Go to Arsenal and he'd get it every week.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about something like that. If you're pissed off at losing and then fans give you a round of fucks, it's fair enough to bite back.

Yes, I am not sure how big a deal that would be for a footballer. If it was every week, or targeted at him and personal, then I’d get it. But generally, I’m not sure how big a deal fans are for the modern footballer.

If he likes his teammates, the coaching staff, the training ground, the money, the football, the league, and the playing experience in front of the fans the vast majority of the weeks during the seven years he’s been here, is he really going to make a decision cos of one bad day?
