The general sequence last night went from the usual taunting of the home fans, then it was directed at the Wolves' players, and then after they scored, the abuse veered more towards our players.

It was a minority, and everyone was frustrated by the way was game was going,  but they were shouting stuff that most would never dare to shout alone face to face.

Can’t believe armchair fans can criticise away fans who give up their time and money to support the team and have absolutely no idea of what went on!

The away fans that were fighting each other?

It’s impossible to become an away fan.

Maybe if they keep knocking each other out some new places will become available.

It was v moody coming away from the ground. Lots of fights with Wolves supporters and sirens going off everywhere. Everyone was bad tempered!

Doesn't seem all that difficult to figure out. Just an exchange of pleasantries.

It wasn't  a difficult  question was what was said?

Did our fans abuse him for coming to clap or was there something else? No villa player should be abused but konsa of all people? He certainly  hasnt been the worst player either

You're right, it wasn't a difficult question, almost like it had an obvious answer. Maybe court transcribers could be placed around the pitch like ball boys.

#AVFC figures have spoken to Ezri Konsa regarding Wolves incident. 28yo had to be restrained from approaching away end - Villa understand difficulty for a player to control emotions & no fine given but aware Konsa should have reacted better.

Temper briefly lost in the heat of a shitty moment.
Time to move quickly on. The winning goal tonight would be nice.

Yep good opportunity for him to use that emotion for a strong performance.

If someone was shouting abuse at him then I’ve got no issue with him having a go back. If you want to stand there throwing abuse at players who’ve got us sitting in 4th then I think you deserve it. What I don’t like is players chirping away to the media about the support which has happened in the past. There maybe some truth in that but for me that’s a line crossed but we move on.

Would be more concerned about the likes of DCL and Mane giving him the runaround at times in the last two games. Joao Pedro will target him tonight.

If Konsa is the problem then we really do have major issues, he has held the defence/team together over the last few months, I've lost count of the amount of times me and my lad have said "thank fuck for Konsa" over the season.
