I initially thought it was his hamstring but he was then holding his groin. I think he knew straight away he had something he couldn’t carry on with. Let’s hope whatever it is it’s a slight pull/strain. Can’t see us seeing him for a few weeks so hopefully fit for the CL games.

Unofficial but the BBC are reporting Konsa is expected back next week in the pre-presser build-up. Not sure if that is from news or just based on the initial recovery period announced when he went off.

We wait to see if Boubacar Kamara will take a part in tomorrow's game after limping off just 15 minutes into Aston Villa's 1-1 draw with Ipswich over the weekend.

Villa are already without defenders Pau Torres, Ezri Konsa and Matty Cash. Torres is still recovering from a metatarsal injury and Konsa is hopeful of a return next week.

I thought that in the Kamara thread that it seems to be known that he'll be missing for a couple of weeks? So I'm not sure what the 'we wait to see' is all about. Unless someone is wrong in that thread?

Tbf he made up for it with that palmer clearance. I think maatsen was more to blame for their goal

Konsa was looking around a few times to see where Enzo was, then stopped to cut off any pull backs. Whether that is something a defender should do when the one in front goes near post I couldn't say.

Agreed, though Cash had Nkuknku behind him which was his man really not EF. Any goal when fingers can be pointed at all our back four are really bad ones. I thought Konsa was the pits though, he sees EF breaking from midfield as the play develops. But at the critical moment when Neto plays the ball Konsa has no idea where EF is. Then he has the gall to go blaming others as usual.

We had other moments where unforced mistakes in possession from Mings, Konsa and Cash could and should have been punished.
