A little bit of pre-match fun with Ezri and Leon. https://x.com/footballontnt/status/1881648273531769122

The walking football with multiple touches of the ball time and again, and then sideways pass, makes me want to kick the tv in.

The goal saving tackle/ block (I think on minamino was it ?) suggested he was fine to me.
I thought he was ok today. Especially from the tackle he made which was champions league level defending.
Bade coming in would be good competition and good for rotation.

That's what really sets me off. Every player goes through bouts where there confidence drops. Konsa is having a nightmare spell of form, at what level is allowing punts from deep bounce near him acceptable, but it's all the pointing and whinging at other players that beggars belief.

All that is fine if you are leading. Tonight we weren’t but still persisted until the 85th minute. Complete bollocks football.

Konsa is clearly doing what he's told, that is Emery's choice and style and we've been doing it for a long time now.

Hasn't looked happy since he got moved out to right back despite playing there for England against Brazil.

Not a confident player when in possession. Slows the game to an agonising pace before offloading sideways to a teammate, who is often in a worse position than him. The ball isn’t something Ezri is comfortable with. And yes, he does have an unfortunate habit of blaming everyone else for his own shortcomings.

I'm sure Emery is expecting him to be quicker with the passes and not telegraph them each and every time.

Agreed. In the stadium last night the Villa fans were screaming at him to move the ball forward
