He is good at right back, but better than the other options at CB. So upgrade the right back options until Ned is ready.

He's just a magnificent player, whatever you ask him to do.

Kamara might be able to do a job at right back when Cash isn't available for whatever reason. Could even step into midfield.

I disagree. Ezri’s centre-back partnership with Pau is quite porous, as evidenced by the amount of goals conceded. Having Konsa at right-back probably helps the Carlos/Pau pairing, not least because Ezri is a huge upgrade on our other right-back option, Matty Cash, who to be fair might also be the source of the weakness of the Konsa/Pau partnership. We have too small a sample size to judge Ned/Bogarde at the moment.

But Konsa/Carlos/Pau/Digne is our most resolute defence while Mings is out. It’s simply a fact.

I agree, Konsa and Pau were never as comfortable a pair as Konsa and Mings

Indeed. The clean sheets count in that run to seventh place was ridiculous.

Not sure what his injury is, but when he was warming up, it appeared he wasn't going full out. When the players had returned to the dressing room Carlos came out with a coach and did some more warm up exercises. Konsa goes down in the 11th minute and instead of going down the tunnel for treatment, goes and sits in the dug out. It appears this was an injury/illness they were prepared to gamble on and it unfortunately the gamble didn't pay off.

Probably not unexpected but has been ruled out of the England games apparently.

As has Gibbs-White, I wonder whether that might see Rogers get a shout.

No replacements apparently.

Despite Carlos decent enough showings in recent weeks I much rather have Konsa dealing with Adama Traroe this afternoon so it's good news that he's back available.

He plays on the right wing usually so it'll be Digne's job.
