Aston Villa is delighted to announce Ezri Konsa has signed a new, long-term contract with the club.

Konsa joined Villa in the summer of 2019 and has gone on to become a mainstay in the heart of defence.

He is now closing on 150 appearances for the club.

An Under-20 World Cup winner with England, he came through the youth system at Charlton Athletic before moving across London to Brentford.

What a shit statement that is.

😂

Yeah, I'm pleased, too.

Great news. It's a pity that the useless muppet in charge of the national team can't see how good Ezri is,

Roberto Martínez has always been clueless.

Good news. For that we paid (was it Ł12m?) he's been a bargain.

Yep, about that. You'd have to put that signing entirely down to Dean Smith due to the Brentford connection, and in that sense probably his best bit of business.

Good to see Konsa being offered a new deal.
I like Konsa, he just gets on with it, no fuss, no real drama.
Maybe the club statement is a reflection of him.
I like the fact the players we had in the championship are still part of this team and still want to be a part of it Mings, Konsa, McGinn, Watkins, and are growing and improving with us.

Watkins wasn't with us in the Championship.

Great news and deserved.

However , I will never like the phrase “ Aston Villa is “

It may be grammatically correct , but it shouldn’t be.

What's the duration of the contract?  I haven't seen it anywhere, possible I've missed it.
