I think Hause is a better defender than Konsa right now. Konsa is much better coming forward and bringing the ball out. Hause is a decent ish passer, but does hesitate on the ball sometimes.

Hause is the weak link of the 3. Konsa is quick and doing very well considering he is young and had no pl experinece. Adapting well.  Will only get better

Konsa has potential sure but has a horrible ball watching tendency. Watford play with only one forward yet he hadn't a clue where Deeney was for their goal last night. At worst he had to get touch tight to Deeney before the cross came in.

I was absolutely slating Konza for ball watching seconds before the goal.

Apparently Mings laid into Konsa at half-time, presumably about ball watching.

I have only seen it a couple of times at normal speed but did the cross get a deflection off Hause that put it into Deeney's path.

I think sometimes it is harder when they play one up top  for the 3 defenders as they leave it to each other to mark

I think if we are playing Davis, it makes more sense to give Elmo a game as he is a good crosser. I don't dislike Konsa or Guilbert, mind.

We were unbalanced in defence and need to bring Konsa back in to the centre, not that I think he's the answer as yet, although I think he will improve over time.  Bring Freddie or Elmo in at right back tomorrow.

We were better at the back than we’ve been for ages, bar Hause’s suicide pass.

Brentford must be laughing themselves silly at whatever we paid for him.

He's not a right back, so why he's played the majority of the last three games there is beyond me.

Neil Lennon on 5Live was singing his praises in the first half. Keeping the Maximilian dude quiet while delivering some dangerous balls into the box.

Well I guess Guilbert is out injured and Konsa does give us a bit more height defending set pieces where we were getting rinsed

But it was fairly apparent from the game v Sheff Utd, that a) he isnt even a good defender and b) simply dreadful with the ball, Cuellar esque

Agreed with the OP, Brentford took the piss out of us on this guy, no idea what potential Smith saw in him

It's his first season after making the step up to this division  and overall, I think he's done ok. He's still got  a lot to learn but I think he's worth persevering with.
