Well deserved Marty Targett, best full back in the league. What a player he’s been.

He's just so solid and consistent, and now that Jack's back, he's playing the really good attacking balls again.

Suprised his performance hasnt been mentioned. He was so bad yesterday.  Hinestly that was one of the worst left back displays ive seen in the last 12 months for us.

I dont undsertsnad why he felt the need to slide in for first  goal. That was absolute suicide

Well he was terrible, but in fairness he’s built up some credit in the bank over last season. I don’t think he was fully fit.

He's the best left back we've had since God was a lad. Not that we've been blessed with many who are even remotely decent in recent years, but still, it makes a very nice change not to have a complete duffer there. He's been our most consistent player this year, I'm struggling to remember a bad game or a mistake he's made to be honest.

He was a bit ropey in the 3-0 win at Fulham if I remember, which was a good time to have an off day.

He gets a 9/10 for the season for me, he's been outstanding, even through the barren spell his form didn't drop.

Blimey you're dredging up the past there, are you my wife?!

Haha!

I get that sort of thing. 'I'm off out on Friday'
'Who with?'
'Tom'
'Oh god, don't get pissed like you did that time'
'Which time?'
'That time you got pissed and fell asleep on the bog'
'That was 7 years ago?'
'Yeah, that time'
I am relieved to read that I am not alone. SWMBO has a database in her brain that holds a 15-year back catalogue of all offences I have committed and deemed to have annoyed her. Even a minor comment about toothpaste squeezing or toilet roll position is filed away for later use when marital court convenes.

…and now he’s utter shite according to some.

Things change very quickly don’t they?

Actually, loads have. He’s been slaughtered on here.

He was utterly shite yesterday. That's not to take away all his good work of last season, but just saying it exactly as it is. Or do you think that Smith took him off at half time for some other reason?

It’s Catch-22 for him. He’s not played in preseason so he’s not match ready but the only way he’s going to get it is by playing games.

Don't fancy him up against St. Maximin at the mo. Maybe play Young at left back and give Targett 90 minutes at Barrow?

I bet he plays a blinder next week. Matt Targett is too good a professional to allow that to happen twice.

Agree.
He looked a couple of yards slower than last season.
I know Sarr is rapid, but he wouldn’t have had such an easy time with last seasons Matt Targett
