Sorry Chris, I did follow that story with incredulity like most of us but Evergreen was the name in my head.
I was actually going to make a shit joke about Shay Given good at blocking things but this topic has now run aground I fear.

I could see Wesley playing behind 2 front runners next season, in a #10 role. From memory, he has good movement, can pick a pass and can strike for goal.
Good movement in the same way the Ever Given has good movement you mean?
Harsh.
And the damp-squib attempt to be funny about the Big Boat didn't really help you to make the point.

OK noted.  I think he's a massive lump with the turning circle of an oil tanker and in no way do I see him as having the good movement you suggest to play the 10 role.  Hope this is unequivocal enough to make the point for you.  I also don't think he has a 'good strike' in his locker and he never looked like he could score from outside the box to me.

Well, we'll just have to wait and see how he turns out, won't we.

he certainly had more bad games than good for us in his natural position so I struggle to see how he could be a 10.

I never saw him come on.

Give him a full pre-season and let's see how he looks then.

I'd loan him out for the season to get fitness and hopefully, confidence levels up. Cameo appearances for us won't do that. We need better than Wes if we have serious ambitions of the top six.

I don't like writing off 22m after 20 odd games. He's only 24, he came from a crap league, he managed 1 goal every 4 games in a struggling side which makes him prolific compared to Davies and he had a very bad injury. If we go out and spend 40m in the summer for a striker then fair enough, but providing he's recovered fully from the injury, he deserves a season competing with Watkins now he's hopefully acclimatised to the premiership.
