Complete misjustice that Mee has been able to continue playing while Wes has had to have major surgery and months of rehab. If it wasn't for his age and advances made in healthcare, he may have been another Luc Nilis.

I believe the U23 season is being extended, potentially into late May or early June. Wes may get a couple of games with them before the season end.

FWIW, my opinion is we shouldn't see Wesley until next season.  He's had a near career-ending injury and we can thankfully put any thoughts of relegation behind us.  It makes sense to me to allow him to make the most of his rehabilitation and limit any competitive football until the pre-season friendlies come around and then we can let him loose.

I’d be amazed if we see him playing any senior football this season, still a ways to go in his recovery.

Is this the worst injury we’ve had since Luc Nilis
it’s certainly a career threatening one

I hope we do see him back to full fitness Someday
it would be absolutely tragic if he doesn’t

Kozak and Okore were quite bad too.

we don't need to rush Wesley back - we're not in a relegation battle, or even chasing Europe really, so would be best to take our time with him

I said the same earrlier. If he's fit and we're winning easily bring him on as a sub, otherwise let him have a full pre-season.

I think we may need to do something like that to get him match sharpness. The u23 league doesn't seem as competitive as the old reserves games from 20 years ago.

I'll never forget Okore was quite close to it in the stands. Rolling on his back with leg in the air and his foot facing backwards. Was great weather and the trains were off so we walked back to town afterwards. Neither of us said much as all we could think about was his foot facing the wrong way.

Bouma was another one. Ended his Villa career and didn't play another first team game for anyone for over two years.

How long was Kozak out for? Feel like that was forever. He was never the same player (and wasn't a world beater to begin with, if we are being honest).

Kozak was one of the weirdest signings I've ever seen at the Villa. We desperately needed a goalscorer so we signed someone who, aside from one Europa League campaign, had a goalscoring record not much better than Keinan Davis.

Injury or not, I don't think he'd have set the Prem alight.

Going into next season with question marks over Wesley and Davis won't be good enough. Imagine if Watkins had flopped this season, we would have been scuppered right and proper. He needs proven, quality support next season.
