Thought he had a good game tonight, should have scored which would have helped his confidence overall.

Why does it have to be a case of extremes? He wasn't shit or great tonight, he was alright. Huffed and puffed, held the ball up well once or twice, got in the right position once or twice but didn't finish well enough. He was alright.

This. Did OK but needs to improve. Should have had a goal.

I thought he was ok, but as I said on the match thread, Tammy he ainít. Doesnít look like he has a natural goal scorerís instincts to me, much like Keinan. Lots of other things to admire in both their games ,  but 20 goals a season from either - I very much doubt it.
Must add a striker in the window - I honestly wouldnít bother with anything else. Just a goalscorer.

I think he is doing fine. Was anyone really expecting more goals from someone new to the EPL, whose record in the Belgian league was less than 1 in 3? He has 4 in 12 for us so far. The issue for me is whether he is leading the press, and linking-up play. He was doing this superbly against Everton, and needs to keep to those standards.

And let Rondon and Perez leave...

On Wes, for all the talk "he needs a goal", his recent goals haven't sparked any real improvements so it's not just a confidence issue. Better attitude and workrate tonight for sure but technical ability and a genuine forward threat he isn't providing let's be honest. I honestly think Davis would have about the same amount of goals but definitely would add more in terms of bringing our midfielders into the game. Has Wes an assist for us yet this season ? We simply have to strengthen our options up top in Jan.

Ran all night, just canít finish a gilt edged chance for shit.
apart from the two identical chances he scored against Arsenal and Norwich..we seem so quick to write him off.. 4 in 14 ain't great, but it's a whole lot better than none in 14 for the £40m striker in the opposition tonight. He will get better we have sod all else to replace him with and he working his bollocks off.. he deserves a bit of slack

Heís getting better, and stronger but he needs to work harder, especially as heís not contributing goals for the team. He doesnít join the team in responding to the triggers to press the opposition.

Early days and itís a shame we are so light we canít give him a break out of the limelight.

I thought he had a decent game. Shame he didn't put that one away at the end as he's gone a few games without scoring now.

Not good.enough. Everyone around me was saying same thing as we walked out...a new striker is needed in Jan. He did improve 2nd half but missed a sitter. With our midfield we are crying out for a poacher.

He worked hard tonight, and did OK in linking the play up when he dropped deeper, but unfortunately he just doesn't look like he'll ever really be an effective striker.  He has no pace, no movement off the ball, no aerial ability and no real skill on the ball.  Hard to know really where the improvement is going to come from.
