Didn't Moyes boast in his first press conference that "winning football matches is what I do" or something equally stupid. Sadly a quick google can't find me the quote, but it showed a level of bug eyed arrogance only Moyes is capable of mustering after failing in each of his last 3-4 jobs.

I think Westham are in deep shit, massive transfer fees and wages on some great players but theres very little there of what they need, no organisation, spirit, fight. Haller, Anderson, Yarmalenko, Fornals, Diop, nice player but theyre playing in a shite soulless bowl for one of the most mind sapping managers going. I think they will do well pull away from it.

A couple of weeks ago I met up with a few friends I hadnít seen for about 6 - 7 years, a married couple of whom are West Ham fans.

They were regular attendees at Upton Park for 30 years abut after 3-4 years of trying The new ground they have Stopped going. Itís not one single thing but a combination of change of routine - pre match drinks in the Spotted Dog in Barking -  a soulless stadium, fuckwit owners, and a general feeling of the club no longer being theirs. They said that playing at Stratford makes hem feel like a franchise club and the fans are not even allowed to take the short cut through the Westfield shopping centre but instead are corralled around the outside. They say many of their mates feel the same way.

Hopefully that general feeling is reflected further in the next few weeks.
Uptown Park was a proper Football Ground in its community..
Itís pretty sad what had happened and there are so many examples of clubs having the soul ripped out when they move.
The triumvirate of evil have done well financially though.

All the dildo brothers, porno dwarf and the slag ever wanted at the blues was to pimp a free stadium. They got their wish at WH.

I will love it if they go down and it means they lose a load of money

With West Ham they've got the perfect storm of problems - a team thrown together by two or three managers, massively overpaid on transfers and huge wages, souless bowl stadium devoid of atmosphere, and a dull, insipid manager.

On paper their team is comfortably able to finish mid table, but of course football is not played on paper .

I think they'll remain in the mix for the drop as long as Moyes stays in charge - he seems to be the owners's yes man appointment so hopefully that remains until we are mathematically safe.

West Ham do look in serious trouble and although I do have a couple of mates who support them if would be hilarious if they went down.
I caught a little of a Talkshite interview with Gold a few weeks ago and it sounded as if he owned a different football club the way he was describing how he felt things were. In another interview Brady reeled off facts about how well things were going and she sounded like a politician.
There seems to be a total disconnection between supporter and owner and with their run in theyíre only heading one way.

Not sure if it's been mentioned on here, but have you seen O'Hare's miss against the Sty! Gutted for him!
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51240855

On a similar thread, why have Villa not tied him to a new contract yet? My Sky Blues supporting mate is raving about him, saying he's the best player they've had over there since Maddison. Even if he's not ready to be a starter, it at least stops him going for pittance?

Villa fan and journo Matt Lowton on today's Sunday Supplement was talking about them trying to get a stadium built for Small Heath and then all the stuff regarding the Olympic Stadium. He also pointed out that they are now as disliked at West Ham as they were at Small Heath and that with that stadium relegation would hit them harder than most clubs.

Just watched The Ath Madrid vs Leganes game.
The Leganes keeper was sent off for 2 bookings each for time wasting!! Regarding Foster and Watford are the rules different in the UK or was it just poor officiating by Atkinson?

True. I've been to the Emirates twice this season and it has as much in common with an airport as it does with a football ground.

Yep most soulless ground Iíve been to do far
felt a bit sorry for them because they were a proper old school football club

can you imagine that getting thrashed at the etihad by one of the finest teams put together by the best manager in the world at the time and feeling sorry for their fans !

Fulham down to 10, could be looking at double figures, unless City take it easy on them.

Can see why, tbh. It's the early rounds of a cup they don't really care about against lower league opposition.
