Does anyone know why the midweek games are kicking off at 7.30pm?

They have been impressive , they got momentum and have carried it on ..but as good as they have been the rest of the league especially those around the top 4 have been poor.

City have spent most of the season with a CM at CB due to lack of options there after not replacing Kompany.

United have a poor squad despite spending millions and a manager with zero track record at this level.
Arsenal and Spurs have both changed managed mid season
Chelsea are worse than under the last 2 managers they sacked !

Which makes it worse we have taken so little points of those teams.

Also if it carries on like this Liverpool will be champs by March , I do wonder if they will lose some perspective ,especially if they concentrate  on retaining the champs league which could see some teams like us playing a not especially motivated Liverpool team

At least we have Arsenal, Spurs Man Utd and Chelsea at home. Those are all games we should be targeting with no fear. That’s where we can pull this inability to take points of the top 10 around, same goes for Sheffield Utd.

This Liverpool side is good, but I still think the Arsenal of Bergkamp, Henry, Vieira, Pires et al. was the best I've seen.

Does anyone know why the midweek games are kicking off at 7.30pm?

It's the usual TV  bollocks.

5 Premier games (including ours) kick off at 7.30 with Chelsea v Arsenal at 8.15.
Amazon Prime’s midweek Premier League coverage features two kick-off times.
It is thought Amazon have done this so that fans can watch the first half of the earlier kick-off and the full 90 minutes of the later game.
Alternatively, fans can watch the full early game and still catch the second half of the later kick-off.

I'll see your Bergkamp, Henry, Vieira, Pires et al and raise you Sinclair, Helenius, Tonev, Senderos et al.

3-D mindfucking right there by me.

The live games are on BT, not Amazon. Only two games are live, Villa isn't one of them.

When we bought them they were supposedly 'young and hungry'. The way their careers went after Villa now they are probably just hungry.

The early-70s Leeds team were despicable thugs and cheats. But on occasion when, despite themselves, they actually played football they were a thing of beauty.

Weren’t matches pushed back to 7:45 to allow fans to arrive in good time as part of the hillborough recommendations.

They went back for safety. They're going forward for TV. That's progress.

I'm stumped as to why the KO has changed if we're not in TV, unless it's those pesky forrins again.

Stokes support is fucking horrendous, loads of empty seats in the away end at Albion, cant remember them ever selling out an allocation at VP.

They do probably hold the record for the longest celebration of a dissalowed goal though so swings and roundabouts.
