When are we expecting the away and third kits to be launched/released? Have they announced any details yet?

My complete (slightly educated) guess is that the positioning of the badge and logo is dictated by two things:

1) The different shape of the sponsor name compared to the big W of last year, meaning that the natural inclination of the designer would be to shuffle the sponsor logo south on the shirt design away from the badge.

2) Villa setting a brief which was to have absolute consistency across the men's, women's and kids shirts; with Cazoo not wanting their logo to sit on (tries to think of a way to describe this best) the south face of the fuller-breasted wearer. Primarily for the female figure, but certainly enough male wearers too.

So, Kappa presented two choices – either have slightly different positionings for the different gender versions; or have everything a bit further north across the board.

I know why the badge would be higher if i put one of the shirts on.

It'd be riding high pushed up by the bulge of my bitch tits.

I like it. Could be a rare end of season purchase for me, assuming nothing too unpleasant happens in it.

I'm sure you've all already got several copies, but if anyone still wants the 1980 home and away shirts Kitbag are selling them for £24.50 on ebay.

Sizes limited for the home.

L & XL sold out alas, so only S,M,2XL @ £24.50 delivered.

As I was there thought I’d check what baby stuff was on there.
No words.

What's the fit like on them? On the official site the L for retro is listed as 41-44in chest which is normally XL territory.

Yep, generous. I'm normally XL but would've been better with L. We were bigger in every way in 1980.

Cheers Hopadop, just wanted to confirm the generic sizes given were accurate and especially helpful you're in the L/XL range.

Oh dear! Any ideas on where to buy Villa baby stuff, purpletrousers? There used to be loads of stuff in the club shop, but nowadays, not so much; online anyway.

Gorgeous gear, particularly that zipper top. However it's 80 bloody euro. Would want to know how it fits first before I even thought about shelling that out. I'm assuming it's the usual non-flattering Kappa cut

To be fair in searching to answer your question I just found a villa version about hating blues before being able to walk. I know I’ll get told it’s lighthearted banter by some -as with chanting- but crikey i’d never want to dress an innocent babe in ‘hate’.

I was lucky I did a decent buy up in a club shop online sale a couple of years ago when little AV was far from cooked, so at least #2 (if baking goes well) has a few age ranges of stuff to inherit.

I’m not sure where else to try having done a google, eBay had some 2nd hand sometimes, though I wonder if folk here have some lying around they’d be happy to pass on/sell? I’d be interested too!

Now wishing I hadn’t given my 6/7/8yr old early eighties classics to the homeless kids in Kampala (kinda... hadn’t realised I’d have my own nippers)
