Do any of them really give a shit though? Presumably we’d have an account manager at any manufacturer who deals with everything from design to supply with our own club representative. We’ve had these kit and merchandise issues for years so may be the real issue is closer to home rather than the fault of the various manufacturers.

We do seem to change every year, then wait a few weeks for the announcement of who the new manufacturers are going to be, then (at least) a few more weeks for the new kit.

We also do the same with the sponsor.

I'd like to see us get some long term deals so we can have the kit on display last home game of each season, and then have it on sale in early June.

What are the sizes like?

I fancy getting one to play football in, as I'm tired of Liverpool, Man United,  Everton and Man City everywhere. I dont mind them being tight, but will your normal size correspond or do you need to go one up?

Also, I'm getting Maximus one, are the children's shirts sized well?

Has to be online unfortunately so no try before I buy.

I dunno. With Adidas we would just be one of many. Same when we were with Nike, they didn't seem to give the slightest shit. Maybe better to be a big fish in a small pond?

Don't the owners have something to do with Adidas? I imagine they'd look after us if so.

Yes Sawiris has a 10%(?) stake and I think sits on the board.

Most people are saying on Twitter that they're a couple of sizes out (ie smaller) from what you'd expect, and don't even think about the "elite" one unless you can see your ribcage sticking out like a xylophone.  I normally buy one each year for Tuesday night 5 aside, but won't be this year.

Cheers. I'm one of those gimps that could rock the Elite fit, but £80?! Pft!

Kids are out of stock until August 18th. Hmmmm.

I thought the away strip looked great today, and I like the home strip more than recent efforts too. The logo’s rather naff, and the shoulder tuck odd, but then I won’t be wearing one, so my opinion is a bit moot.

I love both home and away more than those of previous years. I think i’ll be investing in those claret away shorts at least.

My brother bought his nine year old son a home shirt today. He's tall, but not particularly big at all. Size wise, he could've fitted the 14 yrs boys' shirt, but went for the kombat small men's in the end. And get this, my fellow old farts, he went for that one because he preferred the shirt with the sponsor on. Weirdo.

Most kids want shirts with sponsors on as they just want to look like the players. My lad is repeatedly disappointed when yet another gambling sponsor gets announced as it means he has to have a plain shirt.

I’d prefer one without a sponsor personally, but kids think differently.

I'm pretty sure I saw a photo that showed the sizes were exactly the same width as last year except in the player issue replica Pro thingy. The only difference is that this year's are shorter?

I like the kit, the colour works, the sleeves are blue, and let's face it, I'm not sure anyone on a midweek 5-a-side is going to notice, never mind comment, on whether the stitching on your sleeves is lovely.
