I'm glad they made the right choice for goal of the season, the McGinn and Grealish volleys were fantastic technique but running from your own half, beating 6 men, playing 2 1-2s and finishing in the bottom corner is into world-y territory.

I really struggled to pick a goal of the season between the four of them. Has there ever been such a high-class goal of the season competition within a club?!

Our goal of the season competition for 92-93 was pretty good - didn't we make up most of the list for the BBC goal of the season that year?

EDIT - There you go, 4 out of the 9!

How the hell did Petrovs in 2007 vs Derby not win goal of the season?

And we had others that season nominated but not win, for example Dean Saunders long range volley against Ipswich was beaten by the Yorke finish as the goal was a team goal at the end of about 30 passes. In those days I think it was a panel decision in the studio rather then a phone vote.  Totally forgot Dalians was that season, I thought it was a different one.
