One of Grealish's early league appearances for us was as a sub against potato-head's Hull. They picked up four(?) bookings in the brief time he was on for whacking him up in the air. I doubt these will now employ any other tactic to try to negate him.

Must admit, I was wondering how SteveBruce'sWednesday will approach Grealish.  It's been completely obvious that most managers have sent their teams out to kick him out the game.  I'd be disappointed if Bruce did the same.

I'm expecting a good game from Adomah so he can stick two fingers up.

Pretty much agree with Ads lineup, but as they carry minimal threat upfront then I'd opt with Green over Albert even though the latter does offer more cover for Elmo should they attack down the wing. Whelan is firing on all cylinders at the moment so he can't be dropped and should be rest at Rotherham in midweek instead.

We need to get at them from the off and get an early goal. I felt at times we were trying to score the perfect goal against Blackburn so we need to be more clinical in front of goal and make our pressure count.

Bannan, Boyd and Forestieri are the only players I recognise from their team that could carry a threat, so we should be tight at the back as long as don't make any silly mistakes.

0-3 Villa.

I can see it being a draw which would leave Bruce with his team there or thereabouts.

1-1.

It will be a lot tougher than people think.

He'll set them up for a draw and try and nick it from a set piece or counter attack. He'll find out that the game has evolved.

Hope it's like the old days of Villa vs Brentford, but it's us playing them off the park.

They are in good form and will be up for it.  So will we.  Should be a good game.  I can't call it as we can't win every game, a draw wouldn't be a bad result.

I think their form is misleading. They have only faced 2 top half sides since their manager was sacked and both were draws. We've got to be going there to win.

SB will be desperate not to lose this one so can see him being even more defensive than usual.

Can see it being 2-2. Point not too bad as long as we beat Bristol City which is looking the key now to the run in as they're winning at Boro.

No point saying it’s a massive game because every game is now, but fuck me its a massive game.

Wee Barry ran the show at Villa Park but we didn’t have a midfield then, I’m sure it’ll be different this weekend.
I’m going for a 1-0 win and finger nails nibbled down to the knuckles.
