I sung "he bought me a pint or two" as a parting shot in a bar in The Arcadian the day after the 5-1 game. My mate was the chef. The Scandinavian contingent were out to play. Me, chef and his mate were the only other people there. They had copious amounts of champagne so presumably bibs was off for the week, cones was having a nap and the 4 eyed bottle job was practicing saying "terrific" in the mirror.

Not going to dispute it, bud, but, have to say I don't remember singing or hearing any of them.

I do remember there were a couple of different versions of 'Bigger than me and you'  (lap dance being one)

‘Carew is on fire’ was his first song (chant) - before ‘bigger than me & you’. I can remember everyone pouring out of the Holte chanting it after a win early in his stay with us.
I heard ‘A team of John Carers regularly at away pubs, but maybe not so much at the game.
To be fair ‘Vindaloo’ never took off like it should have done (just singing John Carew instead of Vindaloo) - that would have been the best one if it had.

I don’t know why I am getting that Euro thing going on. I can also see it in some other people’s posts. What is it?

I like it.
When it’s belted out like it was against Blackburn and at the end of the SW game, it’s a bit good.

I like it. If it’s the song of our promotion season so be it. And as for it not being original, all football songs are passed around these days there’s hardly any unique ones.
