Boro's game in hand is against Bristol tomorrow night.

If they draw and we beat Bristol at home, it wipes out the games in hand advantage they have over us.

The other thing that could help us is Norwich should be promoted by the time we play them and Bolton should be relegated. Millwall could possibly be safe and leeds could possibly be promoted, although playing teams with nothing to play for doesn't always work to your advantage.

Actually, looking at it, think both Millwall and bolton will still have something to play for when we turn up

Bristol City having two games in hand is annoying.

We have a chance... A very slim one.

Ipswich still had a game in hand to play in 1981. But by the time they played it and lost to Southampton we had already had our civic reception and our players were all on beaches somewhere. ;)

We're hitting form at just the right time. We have a squad big enough to last the season. My only doubt right now is should we play Albion at home or away first? Right now I'd go for a first leg at the Whorethorns and bring them back to a Villa Park to bury them.

I'd take our current form and position over Bristol "one win in the last 5" City's games in hand any day of the week

Let us hope Albion have used up all their luck already this season. A blatant hand ball goal against us and the penalty miss of the decade by the Swansea player. In the live games I have seen them play on SKY they have certainly seemed to have more than their fair share.

One thing I do know is that the others will be more worried about us than anyone else in the pack.

Listening to Radio 5 over the weekend and that Clem fella ( North Eastern, lower league correspondent) said the same. Nobody would want to face us over 2 legs, the form we're in

On the basis that we're unlikely to make fourth, the first leg will be at home. Probably on the Friday or Saturday after the Norwich game.

Bristol have 5 games in 15 days including Saturdays win over Sheffield United. The 5th game is against us so hopefully they'll be sh@gged by then!

Good, give their ungracious prick of a manager something to whinge about.

I reckon that if you asked any of the other teams competing for a play-off spot which team they would most like to avoid, we would probably top the poll as the most-feared team.

Good point and they'll certainly have done well to come out of those 5 fixtures unscathed:

Sat 30th March: Sheff Utd (A) - won 2-3 (fcukin Weimann!!!)
Tues 2nd April: Boro (A)
Sat 6th April: Wigan (H)
Tues 9th April: Baggies (H)
Sat 13th April: Villa (A)

Let's not forget that we still need to take care of business away at both Sheff Weds (Saturday) and Rotherham (Wednesday) before Bristol come to Villa Park.

In Deano we trust. At least we will now have a plan for each game and we have a squad to do a bit of rotation. We're on a roll and may take some stopping :)
