I think jack needs protection and for me McGinn and Whelan Would be a better option than McGinn and Hourihane.
But, Hourihane is in and so needs to put in a real shift today.

Vital we get the wingers in the game today as they'll be kicking Jack from pillar to post so he might not always be on the ball to move it out wide.

If they're just passengers for long periods then big problems for us.

If so then I expect the ref to do his job properly.

A couple of seasons ago Whelan was immense at the Sty, shed blood for the cause as well. Hard call for the manager, but he has given himself options.

Big call leaving McGinn on bench.

Not big call, wrong call. Let's hope I'm wrong.

I fear McGinn might be a little hot headed for this game. Whelan has a bit more nous.

I'd have had McGinn instead of Whelan, but Hourihane has to be included. When he plays with Jack, he scores goals and I think he gets a lot of stick unduly.

Not happy with McGinn on the bench. I'd have had him in for Hourihane. Hourihane did well in the more advanced role last week but I'd rather have a bit more steel in the middle

Their changing rooms look like the ones in my old school circa 1978.

Surprised to see McGinn starting on the bench, although I understand the logic. I suspect it will be a draw today but based on the law of averages our long unbeaten league run against them concerns me as it can't go on forever.

SKY saying Villa's win record is more than three times better with Jack in the team than without him.

The bench is really strong.  I just hope they are not needed.
