Kalinic dropped/injured?
Surely he wouldn't be risked on the bench?
El Ghazi in the Grealish role..
I thought Green would have had a run wide right if Adomah is fancied for the left.

Kalinic is probably a precaution due to his concussion last week.

4-4-2?

Is it El Ghazi playing in behind Tammy? Whatever it is it's better than persevering with the same system. We have limited selection options, on an awful run of results so we might as well try something different and go for it.

4-4-2?

Surely it can only be with that line up

El Ghazi might play as a 'number 10' with Kodjia out wide.
Yes that’s confirmed

Looks like 4-4-2, or maybe 4-1-4-1. Or kick and run. Just win Villa - lose this and we could be looking over our shoulders if other results go against us.

So let’s see for the umpteenth week:

Smith said we are going to get back on track - check
Hutton targeted so to be attacked down the right relentlessly - check
Hologram usual shit self - check
Whelan to run out of steam come 49th minute - check
Kodija can’t be arsed - check
Can’t get ball to Abrahams - check

2-0 down first half and hope they declare UNLESS
3-0 down first half then another 3 for a classy 6-0 defeat
All play offs fire firmly pissed on, Smith to say ‘bad day at office’
And roll on v Derby

Great to be a Villa fan, now in my glorious 32nd year!

Hutton, captain. Why? A dreadful player.

He can handle a game a week, it's when we play two he starts to mess up. He's been decent these last few (3) games. As for being captain, well, other than Mings there's nobody that seems to care as much. Least of our problems, Nik.

As for the team selection, who knows. What I do know is we need 3 points today. Fingers crossed.

Smith said he was still under a concussion protocol. Insert joke about team-mates here.

A perfect mix of youth and experience!!!!
What could possibly go wrong?
The youth being...?
Well Whelan and Abraham have a 30 year age gap.

I see your 'worst team in 40 years' and raise you 'any starting 11 of KMac's choosing in the last 10'.

no Way have we ever put out a worser midfield than this

Whelan, Elmo, Hourihane, el Ghazi

I don’t know 86-87 would give them a run for their money.
