True! I am just massively pissed off with the early bird thing, still, when we were being hit up for cash without a clue what division we would be in.

Would you prefer them to be sold at the new (higher) prices with no discount?  Or maybe not sold at all until the end of the season, again with no discount?

Those are the only 2 alternatives that I can think of.

I think the “early bird” is a good idea, it gives a discount of sorts, to regular season ticket holders, what’s wrong with that? I did it last year and I will do so for next season. If people don’t want to buy a ST, that’s fine, fair play. I want one and I’m happy that as I have had two STs for a good few years, I get a reduced price.

It’s been 10 years of shite but one thing you can say is that the price of our season tickets have barely moved in that time.

Neither has Jedinak .... ba-boom tish

I can. I have been doing it on a season long basis for 30 years. I don't enjoy it any more and they have had more than enough of my time and money since then.

I get this totally as I had a season ticket up to and including the 2014-15 season and now pick and choose the games I go to (about half). Saturday was a season ender I'm afraid but I'm sure I'll be back in August. Or September.

Same for me.

Ironically I rarely make Saturday games now but always at the midweek/week night games. Enjoyed the vast majority of them and they always seem to be more exciting games than the sterile Saturdays....just this season we've had 2-2 v Brentford which was just a very good football match, 3-3 v PNE and all the drama of cabbages, 5-5 v Forest which was just a totally bizarre game of football which will live long in my memory and the 3-3 v Sheffield and a great comeback out of nowhere.

Bit of a random idea but if a club did a mini season ticket of 10 midweek/Sunday home games at priced 150 quid I'd probably get one. Some seasons you might only get 5-6 at home so would probably include the Sunday games in it to get up to 10.

...or a mini season ticket for weekend games?

Although I am moving to Lancashire shortly, I did intend to keep my season ticket, but I don’t have the kind of job where I can knock off early to travel to night games on a regular basis.

Even living in Birmingham I sometimes miss them because I cannot guarantee to be away in time! (Although my hours are basically 9-5, I have to take a whole day annual leave to actually guarantee getting to a 7.45pm KO - once you are in, you are in for as long as you are needed!)

So now I’m now of the mind that keeping my season ticket is a long way from paying off. Between evening games, and games that get moved to Friday or Monday (& to some extent Sunday 4pm isn’t great) - it puts the price per match up by about £10, when the difference between my season ticket price (if I went to all the games) and a match ticket is only about £1.50. I’d be keeping it just for the pride of saying I am a season ticket holder, which does mean something to me, but probably not approaching £100!

I can just be a claret member to get first choice of home tickets when they go on sale, and that’ll also still keep me in the frame for a Wembley ticket if I need one in the future too. So sadly - the season ticket is going this year.

I need to be clear that it’s not cos we’re shite tho - it’s just the practicalities! I wonder how logistical practical a mini season ticket is? Maybe me & SHQ could share one?

Could be something for the club to look into while we continue to play  in this league.

So far this season we've played Brentford, Rotherham, Preston, Bolton, SHA, Forest, QPR, Leeds and Sheffield United as non Saturday 3pm kick offs. Millwall on Easter Monday and Norwich on final day Sunday to come. Pretty much half our games.

Back to premier league and there's only 3-4 midweeks so not really an issue.

I’ve renewed, for no better reason than if I don’t do it now, I’ll talk myself out of it by the summer, lose my seat and regret it come September
