The Geordies will need to get used to this…..he’ll be in and out for the next couple of season before being released to a Championship club.
A real shame, fantastic player when fit. His body just ain’t got what it takes to play at the top level.

There is not a chance he will be released to a Championship club in the next couple of years.

Ramsey reminds me of the Stone Roses - did a couple of decent things several years ago and fuck all since, and yet is spoken of in reverential tones as the culmination of the dreams of the masses. It's weird.

Spike Island, come alive!

Hope this doesn't make Ollie Watkins Shed Seven in your cold, European eyes.

And they were the iconic band of my youth, they somehow represented the hot summer of 1990 for me, 16, left school, going out…and all that. Yet their second album is pretty average to me at best, their first album i obviously like, but rarely listen to now, although the band in that summer still means the same.
The equivalent I guess is Ramsey smashing the first goal in front of the Holte in, in the 3-0 battering of Newcastle in March 2023. The Emery and his Villa have really arrived moment….a bit fleeting in terms of JJ really, but still wished he’d stayed.

Its all pure sentimentality.

It’s shit whenever a top academy kid doesn’t fulfil his potential or deliver on our hopes at the club he started at. We all wanted to keep Jack and JJ. Even the likes of Carney, Archer, Kellyman etc. But getting £40M for JJ, as good as he can be, based on his injury history is pretty good going in the grand scheme of things. Especially as we needed the money to get in the ones we did at the deadline.
