Kalinic best game for us

that’s the only positive I can find so far

Can you wait until full-time for comments like these, please?

McGinn has been awful tonight.  Not for want of effort, but still, really bad game for him.

And you’re probably just as mobile as Hourihane.

 Commiserations by the way.

We look nothing like a top 6 team.

I swear Hourihane is the source of our problem. We’re basically playing a man short in midfield every flipping game!
If Whelan keeps his place when Jack is back, and it’s Hourihane that makes way, you watch the results and performances start to come.

Given the abject nature of the performance over 90 mins, I would very much take a smash and/or grab here right now

I wish everyone would just lay off Hourihane.
He takes all the free kicks and corners doesn’t he?  What the fuck more do you want.

Quite Andy.  I went in for a tackle last Tuesday and broke my foot, so I don't blame him for not wanting to try it.

Don't go in half arsed with your eyes closed was the early advice given to me. Give it the full George Curtis, then you will break your leg instead.

Positives from tonight.
We have looked ‘generally’ quite solid in the centre of the back line.
The goalie has looked very competent.

It has been possibly his worst game for us, but I have some sympathy given what he has to work with. If you're a Brentford player and you make a run just about anywhere on the pitch you have at least two or three teammates to pass to. If a Villa player makes a fifteen yard run the other players use it as an excuse to get their breath back and have a bit of a point.
