Happy if this is true, strong and able to pass... something we have been sadly lacking, shouldn't be a big ask for a midfielder really, should it?

Fans at Swansea been blockading exits tonight in protest of number of players that have left again without replacements ....Fer, Dan James, Montero, Bony, plus younger ones

Have we been fleeced as usual on price?
Nah, you make fleece from wool not fer.
Bravo.  You saw an opportunity and you went for it.
Ha ha, to be truthful at first I thought it was a pun from eamonn until I read his next post.

Strange signing, has flattered to deceive at a few clubs and hardly fits the profile of the "growing market value" type that Smith was on about earlier in week. Hope he hasn't been bought off the back off the Cup game a couple of weeks back.

Surprised we've not offloaded Birkir or Lansbury or let Jedinak retire to Oz...we're way-overloaded in CM now.

yeah was going to say the same myself. Thought Bruce may have been interested in a jedinak as a centre half anyway.

Not strange really is it? We need somebody big and physical to screen the defence.

That's not the point he's making.

The strategy Smith and co are advocating makes absolute sense.

But there has to be pragmatism as well, and if a player like Fer becomes available you judge each case on its merits.

I know exactly the point he's making. But if you cannot land your two primary and secondary targets, it makes sense to have a third of quality lined up. Surprise to surprise he doesn't rate him, but that's subjective. The difference is, as Kevingage points out, it's either Fer or Hologram and Whelan.

I know which I'd prefer.

As far as I can tell there is little to no sign we're even interested in him apart from loads of people running with it on Twitter based on 1 tweet from Alan Nixon.

Gregg Evans, Alan Nixon, Dan Harrell and the Daily Mail's Midlands correspondent all reporting it. About as much noise as we usually have.
