I don't think he intended to hurt him, he was doing the same thing players do all the time and trying to make himself bigger to block off a challenge.

However I can see why people on their side are upset about it but I'm surprised they aren't a little more focused on the incompetence of the medical staff who let him play on twice. Given the focus on head injuries in a number of sports over the last few years it felt weird seeing him go down twice with a clear head injury and no one stopped it.

They gave him a couple of paracetamol and told him to run it off!

That seemed a bit ridiculous. Their manager forgot, in all his post match whinging, that he had a duty of care to his player. He was clearly injured with a head injury and should have been replaced a lot earlier by his coach.

As for Mings, a bit naughty looking at the replay.

Didn’t the bournemouth player foul Mings? If he hadn’t thrown himself into Tyrone it wouldn’t have happened.
Yep.

I reckon a fair few would have a different view if it had been Huijsen on Ollie.

I've seen it just now for the first time. I think we would.

Of course we would. We're all funny, handsome and intelligent people on here but Heroes and Villains are just as hypocritical and one-eyed as Blue Mooners, Ready To Gooers, Red Kip Cafe-drinkers etc.

Their manager really wasn’t whinging a lot in his interview, he said he thought Mings should of gone, but Ramsey shouldn’t off, pretty balanced interview.

Not really balanced when he's insinuating we should have played 80 minutes with 10 men not 10 minutes. Neither were reds.

I don’t believe for a second Mings would leave one on him with any intent, he’s just done what top defenders do, scan to assess his position and make his body shape bigger. It’s not his fault he’s a colossus.

That Jackson incident is going to mean Mings’ one is going to over analyzed now.

That little floppy haired fucker was buzzing around like a demented mosquito. Only fair that Ty should take evasive action.

Wrong thread sorry.

But I love Mings , just to bring it back on track.
Unbeaten in the Prem this season when he's started .

Is that correct? How many has he started?

Fourteen I think.

Impressive. I know it's been done to death on here but I think we're a better team with him in it. Fuck knows what the stats say though.

They agree with you. Extremely strongly.

Why on earth we took him off yesterday was beyond me. As for the elbow, watch the speed and approach angle of Scott, he's coming in at full tilt, Ty just makes himself big. The lad runs into a brick shit house on purpose and wonders why he's got hurt.

I think it was pretty borderline to be honest.

I’m fairly sure he’s carrying a knock.

Really interesting listening to Jamie Carragher after the Liverpool Arsenal game this evening.

He was saying how Saliba is a better player but Gabriel is a better leader, mirroring are own Pau : Mings debate.

He said Gabriel makes everyone around him look good and how Saliba’s form has dropped off since Gabriel’s been out.

A lot of similarities to our debates on here about how Konsa plays better with Mings etc

Interesting.

We just fall apart at the back without Mings . I don't think he is fully fit and now the decisions to play Torres v palace , c115y and PSG start to make some sense , it's a shame as I think we'd still be competing on all 3 fronts now instead of 1 .

Not really balanced when he's insinuating we should have played 80 minutes with 10 men not 10 minutes. Neither were reds.
Its about opinions. Like you, I dont think it was intentional, Iraola did, but he also said he didn’t think Ramsey should of gone and their penalty appeals weren’t penalties.
Everyone is so one-eyed when it comes to their team, in that context it was really balanced.

Obviously see it through claret and blue tinted glasses, but I just think it was a timing thing where Mings just happened to raise his arm while the Bournemouth player was approaching him at speed.

Your face running into an elbow at speed is always going  to cause injury.
