The most embarrassing thing was Mings positioning before he fouled Zaha for the second yellow. He shaped to make him go out towards the touchline line but got it totally wrong and ended up in a mess.

It's his inability to even turn onto his right side that is undoing time and again. Same for that chance in the first minute. He tries to over compensate by being smart and trying a trick or flick on his left.
I've said it before with Tyrone too, but sometimes he goes for the awkward body position (as you say, often using his left side because he won't use his right). He stretches uncomfortably, or dives in on an awkward position. Apart from increasing the chances of him fouling someone or missing a challenge and being left for dead, it also puts my heart in mouth, that he'll do himself a mischief. He's had injuries before and serious ones, and really needs to do something about his body positioning sometimes, and start working on being able to use his right foot to tackle.

He was fouled ahead of second offence putting him off-balance in dealing with the ball. I'm not saying he's not prone to the odd mistake, but the ref handled the 2nd situation as badly as he did the 1st.
In the 1st the over-rated palace twunt should have been sent off for his foul on McGinn and then his ott reaction to Tyrone (2 offences, but only one was dealt with meekly).
I thought the wind may have caught Tyrone out  re the 2nd incident.

How come VAR does not pick this up.

Exactly why there should be some citation system: now that the VAR system exists, use it!

Nothing more than a bit of handbags, if the ref saw that he would have called him or both over to stop acting like children.
Mings should be experienced enough to not get wound up / lose his concentration over it

That’s what I was referring to above.

I didn't pick up on that during the game but at least it explains why Ming's lost his composure and the subsequent, attempted stamp.

I don’t see a stamp, looked like more of a sharp knee up the arse as he goes in. I’ve no doubt that it was a reaction, but it wasn’t a stamp for me.

Anyone have any idea if Dermot Gallagher was on at all discussing the weekends controversies.  Be interesting to hear his opinion on Zaha's punch on Ming's, if Sky are brave enough to show it?

Dermot Gallagher would agree with the decision the referee had made if the referee had just nominated Mrs Brown's Boys for a BAFTA. The spineless wanker.

Hey DS seasons greetings (I just realised you have same initials as Divine Saint , Dean Smith and Corrected now to Dean Smith has the same initials as you! )
Anyhow

DERMOT SAYS: It is definitely a foul by Mings, Zaha turns him and he just grabs out at him. Ironically, he had just been booked three or four minutes earlier after a foul on Zaha. Knowing you are on a yellow card, it is not wise to do that because the referee [Anthony Taylor] is just going to send you off, there is no doubt.
He said ok Ref watch it was the correct decision

I would have liked them to have pointed out how Joel Ward , the right back, who was already on  a yellow in second half did a bookable again late on but wasn't booked and sent off

Seemed Taylor felt it was so late on he couldn't be bothered.
It was on Grealish and we were in midst of another free flowing attack

By letter of law and rules Ward should have been off!

Thanks Footy much appreciated.  I'd just like to point out that Dean Smith has the same initials as me, not me as him,  I'm older and had them first.   ;)

Seasons greetings to you too, stay safe.

I just thought it was interesting that someone non Villa rates him so highly.
