Like most players there is a rick in his play sometimes - but most of the time he is just immense

Just spend a short time during a match and watch how he is a born leader and how he commands the defence

McGuire @ £80 million - God knows what Tyrone is now worth

I thought at one moment he'd done his groin with one clearance stretch.  He was fully at his best last night, my MOM.

he is like a bloody contortionist at times, how he stretches and reaches for some of those interceptions

I guess this puts to bed the discussion at the start of the season around whether he likes his NSFW chant.

He’s critical if we’re going to survive.

Becoming a cult figure.  Great player, although started casually last night before taking command again.

He'll have to be at his imperious best at Wembley, whichever team we play.

Had a bit of a poor spell before his injury, bug has tightened up a lot since he has come back.  Looks at home in the middle of the back three.

Hes almost too relaxed at times, which catches him out. He reminds a bit of David James in his style of play, James was as talented a keeper as you will ever see, but undid himself at times with odd decisions etc, but the supreme ability was obvious. Tyrone is similar, incredibly gifted player, great composure, but from time to time his own self belief almost leads him to make an incredibly stupid mistake. He and Gomez should be starting for England this summer without a doubt, if Maguire has to play big Ty can play on the left of a 3, which is Englands best formation anyway.

Has great leadership qualities, but lacks a bit of experience in situations sometimes.

Enjoying seeing the dynamic of Reina coming in, imposing himself on the back line, and taking some of the pressure of Mings.

Think he’ll help him take his game to an even higher level

That really sums up one of the most iconic Villa players in ages particularly well. I love him and it’s incredible to think that he’s only been with us for a year.

The pics of him at Bournemouth Station in his Villa kit after the playoff final may have been staged but they are amongst my favourite Villa related pictures.

They weren’t staged. He just didn’t get changed.

Some numpty behind me in K4 was saying that he was slow and crap last night...I decided to ignore the twat rather than say anything.

I did notice that Tyrone always seem to try to over reach with his left foot rather than make a tackle with his right. It looks awkward and painful the way he contorts himself at times so he may improve even more if he can learn to use his right leg too.
