Does anyone care about T20I results outside of World Cups?

Only if it's against Australia or India.

I don’t really see the question mark on Bethell. He made a ropey judgement yesterday, but he’d played well this game. He’s not one I’m worried about at all.

Brook worries me far more, because for all his obvious talent he repeatedly makes poor decisions. You obviously don’t write him off and he’s still got a very good record, but it’s like someone needs to shake some sense into him.

Brook has all the talent in the world, but unfortunately the cricketing intelligence of a door frame. With the current coaching set up, that's not a great combination.

Yes when the opposition laugh at you - and not a snarky team - it is probably a good indicator.

I'd imagine Ireland do, seeing as they have arguably had the best few days in their history.

The run out sums it all up. A totally unserious team who just don't care.

McCullum and Key should be gone before the end of the day

Yeah. Ultimately Key has overseen the Bazball era and so needs to go.

The 3 were lucky to survive after tbe Ashes debacle and surely now have to go after this calamity.  Key and McCullum.clearly don't have any authority over the set up and there just doesn't seem to be any responsibility or accountability.

This test series was last chance saloon for them and if anything, this has been worse than what has happened before.  Stokes 's retirement announcement was just bizarre.  Who on earth thought it was a good idea to film that dressing room speech and then release it publicly?

Have to say, I agree with every word, Tom.
