Pakistan are digging in here.

We have been very poor, five dropped catches this innings makes a mockery of the hard work of the batsmen.

Woakes is clearly following team instructions bowling short stuff but he really isn’t quick enough to do that, he should concentrate on his probing length, with the cracks on a day five pitch he should be dangerous.

The 8th wicket has just gone, a great caught and bowled by Leach so an innings victory is close but it’s been very underwhelming this morning.

A disappointing performance this morning but that is a remarkable win for England.

To concede more than 550 runs and then go on and win by an innings is outrageous.

Brilliant win, plenty of records broken in that match.

A pretty unbelievable win really.  To be able to amass over 800 runs in under two days is pretty mind boggling (to put into context, they batted for one more over than Pakistan in the first innings and scored nearly 300 runs more), especially given the conditions.

On the flip side, that's an utter humiliation for Pakistan.

Tough crowd on here, that's one of the most impressive victories in our history on a flat pitch in awful conditions. Just bowling them out in this innings was a big ask and we made it look very easy.

Of course Pakistani cricket is in a bad place and that must feel like an awful defeat for them, it'll take a big effort to get them ready for the next match.

The next match being on Tuesday at the same ground.  Which geniuses devised that schedule?

Several of their grounds are being refurbished ahead of the 2025 Champions Trophy and the National Stadium in Karachi isn’t ready to stage a match so they’re playing two in Multan.

Remember it was only about a month ago that Key said that the itinerary for this trip hadn’t been decided at that point

Exactly - its a totally different approach in India / Pakistan - but they nailed it.  Played with the right mixture of aggresion and sense - and in Root and Brookes we have two of the very best.

We’ll still be thinking about winning it I’m pretty sure.

This was a great call.

I don't think he has sufficiently recovered from his Calf injury

It’s a hamstring tear I think.

Ahh yes my mistake, getting my Captains mixed up, it was Buttler with the calf injury
