Thought he did really well.
You could see he’s not comfortable on the right, though.
3 out of 4 cross field passes to Digne were unbelievably good, and great control by the receiver, too

Exactly, I am not certain anybody else in our side could have played those cross field balls, an extremely difficult ball to play and he achieved a 75% success rate!
Although he did look far from comfortable playing on the right, no problem with him at all playing on the left hand side!

Is there any footage of that zinger by Hause anywhere?  I missed seeing it.

The advantage of a leftfooter at right-centreback I guess, got that Nadalesque inside-out angle.

Also, at the end of the clip, Digne beating his fullback with ease shows the point of signing him. I don't know how many times Targett hasn't quite pulled off the same move in similar situations, but I'd bet it's a lot.

Straight from the Sid Cowans school of passing that one.

You only get entry to that school if 5 minutes later you do the same thing with the other foot.

We need to keep him just for the games against Man U every year. I make it 3-1 aggregate to us when he's been playing (away league game and 2nd half at home), and 0-2 to them when he's not (cup game and 1st half at home).

Great pass and I think he made another one a few minutes later.

Watching that clip again it’s really noticeable how little Manyoo were pressing our defence, something that a few critics were slaying them for a few weeks ago.

Talk of him wanting to go to West Ham where he'd probably get gametime due to injuries.

He's been a good servant and whilst I feel we ought to let him go if he really wants to leave we just can't do that this window having already lost Tuanzebe.

I think it would be daft. He's not good enough to play consistently for a top 6 team, so as soon as they didn't have injuries, he'd be back on the bench again.  Going there would probably be more to do with being back in London for the musical bollocks he does.

I thought he was happy holed-up in a Wolverhampton studio laying down sick-beats when not needed at Bodymoor.

Yeah, no, we won't let him go after losing our Axel. The wheels would come off quickly, what with Konsa battered and bruised currently.

Rumours that he’s extended his deal to 2025. Solid squad player.

Think he may move in the Summer when we get a top class centre half signed

I don’t. Naturally left sided CB’s aren’t so easy to find. I can see someone coming in on Konsa’s side to replace Axel. A squad aspiring to be top 6 and Europe needs players like Hause and Targett. Asked to do it every week and it might be a bit much. And if/when we get to the top six then we look to push on from players like them or Mings and Cash etc. but right now they are all solid enough for where we are.
